Luke 9:52 -"And He sent messengers on ahead, who went into a Samaritan village to get things ready for Him…."
Jesus
has sent messengers by commissioning His believers to proclaim the Gospel.

WARNING: READING THE FOLLOWING MAY HAVE PROFOUND CONSEQUENCES TO YOUR SPIRITUAL HEALTH
Jesus is...
The
Savior
-"He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the
chastisement for our peace was upon Him ."
- Isaiah 53:5
The
Baptizer with the Holy Spirit
-"For John truly baptized with water, but
you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit . . . you shall receive power when
the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in
Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
- Acts 1:5,8
The
Healer
-"He
Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. . ." -
Matthew 8:17
The Soon-Coming King - “For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout…the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” - 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
Most
of us have heard it said, "As bikers, it's not if we are going to
have an accident, but it's when." The same thing could be said about
facing eternity. "It's not if we are going to die, but it's when."
The
Bible says in Hebrews 9: 27 - Just
as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment. Furthermore, in Romans 3: 23 the Bible says - for
all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. When we
die, we will face judgment for everything we have ever said,
thought, done, should have done and did not do. One day, the life you are
living now, will be over. Do you want to spend eternity (that's forever)
paying for all misguided actions and thoughts (sins)?
Romans 6:23 says - For the
wages of sin is death (Hell). The Book of Revelation in Chapter 20
describes this Hell - Then death and
Hades were thrown into the lake
of fire. The lake of fire
is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of
life, he was thrown into the lake
of fire. Is this where
you want to spend eternity? Is
your name written in the book of life?
What
if you did not have to pay?
What if someone came along and paid the price for you and your name was
written in the book of life? There
is hope because the word of God in Romans 6:23 says - For
the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus
our Lord. The word of God goes on to say in 1 Peter 3:18 - For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the
unrighteous, to bring you to God. The word of God goes on to say in John
3:16 - For God so loved
the world that He gave His one and only Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
In the 3rd Chapter of John, we can read a story about Jesus - Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with Him." In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." "How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!" Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit." In John 14:6 Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
How
can we receive the price that Jesus paid and be assured of an eternity with Him?
In Romans 10 it is written - That if you
confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart
that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess
and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in Him will never
be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the
same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him, for,
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Jesus said
in Matthew 10, "Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will also
acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns Me before men, I
will disown him before my Father in heaven."
1.
Admit that you are a sinner - Romans 3:23
2.
Accept the fact that Jesus took your punishment and died on the cross in your
place - 1 Peter 3:18
3.
Ask God to forgive your sins and ask Jesus to become the Lord of your life -
Romans 10:9-13
Jesus
said in Matthew 12: 37- "....for by
your words, you will be acquitted." Please pray this prayer. "Dear
God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, my heavenly Father, I confess that I
am a sinner and have been separated from You.
I ask forgiveness of my sins.
I confess with my mouth that your son Jesus is my savior and died for me.
I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. I receive Jesus
into my heart and ask Him to become the center of my life. I ask, in the Name of
Jesus. Amen."

John 5:4-5 says - for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that
has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only
he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
