Are Bikers Worthy Enough for Christ?

Have you ever said or thought to yourself, "I am not worthy enough for God and for what Jesus did on the cross?" If you have, then in a manner of speaking, you were absolutely correct! This is confirmed in scriptures where it says in Romans 3:23, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." In fact, the Bible tells us that the only way one can attain salvation and become worthy is through Jesus.  Acts 4:12 says, "Salvation is found in no one else. For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."  John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

It is interesting to note that God has used many people in the Bible in order to get His message across.  The many so-called heroes of the Bible had many admiral and non-admirable qualities.  They definitely relate to many people that we can think about and can even relate some of those people to ourselves. Here are just a few:

David – lust, murder, huge ego, and had an affair

            Noah – got "skunk" drunk

Samson – short on control – maybe he had some "bad hair days."

            Rahab – prostitute

            Elijah – ran around naked

            Isaiah – naked, again

Moses – stuttered and killed someone – he had a "short fuse."

Jeremiah – depressed, suicidal, and always crying

In the New Testament you will find Jesus, the Son of God, talking with, working with:

Paul (Saul) – a murderer, a Pharisee, a tent maker

            Matthew (Levi) – tax collector

The Prostitute – washed Jesus' feet with perfume (Luke 7:36-50)

The Adulteress – Jesus stopped her from being stoned

Simon Peter, Andrew, James and John – fishermen that became his apostles

The list could go on.

Just because these people made some errors in their lives, it did not disqualify them from taking part in God’s plan for the world or from salvation into eternity.  Therefore, God has not disqualified any one of us from becoming one of His. In John 14:6 Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me." "….if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."  Romans 10:9.  Jesus said. "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock." Revelation 3:30.  "If ANYONE hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in." WILL YOU OPEN THE DOOR OF YOUR LIFE, NOW? No more excuses!

Please pray, "Dear God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, my heavenly Father, I confess that I am a sinner and have been separated from You.  I ask forgiveness of my sins. I repent and accept this gift of repentance and I wish to be free in you. I confess with my mouth that your son Jesus is my savior and died for me.  I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. I receive Jesus into my heart and ask Him to become the center of my life. I ask, in the Name of Jesus.  Amen."

Jesus the Biker

He was a lot like you and me. The government didn't like him. The church thought he was weird. His friends were few. What friends he had, denied him. He was persecuted by hypocrites. He hung around people like you and me, not the goody-two-shoes Pharisees.

Yes, if Jesus were on this earth in the flesh he would be next to you on his Harley telling you he loved you.......
enough to die for you.
