Dear Fellow ABATE Members,
On behalf of all the Messiah's Messengers and Fort Myers
Foursquare Church, a BIG thank you and a BIG biker hug to all those who attended
the 8th Annual Lee County Church Crash! Also, another BIG thank you
to Mark and Patti of V-Twin Cycles for hosting the morning registration site and
helping to provide for this year's trophies… We appreciate Barry and Michelle
Grimm from Fellowship Riders of First Assembly in Cape Coral along with John and
Michelle Ballenger from CMA, for their help in setting up the event.
This year, we had a great time and lots of fun with the
Slow Race Championship of the Universe, the Nice Bike Contest, and the trike
games. Our thoughts, at the same time go to some of the outstanding events that
we enjoy as a community of bikers in the Lee County area. As much fun as we are
now having, we must face a time that all these great motorcycling events for us
personally will end. Then what? Well…
There is one more event that we can look
forward to. This is an event that is
going to be the greatest event that will ever take place, for all eternity.
There will be more hugging, more loving, and more warm fellowship than could
ever take place, if you added up every event we’ve all ever been to. Even if
there were a million of us at one motorcycle event, the event that will eclipse
all events that man has ever put together will be an event that God will put on,
in honor of His Son Jesus Christ. It is called the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
The Bible tells us of this great event. Revelation
19:7-10 says (New International Version). 7. Let us
rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready. 8. Fine linen,
bright and clean, was given her to wear." (Fine linen stands for the righteous
acts of the saints.) 9. Then the angel said to me,
"Write: 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!' "
And, he added, "These are the true words of God."
Here in scriptures, the
groom is Jesus, and the bride is the Church. The Church is composed of all those
who have received Jesus as the Son of God and have accepted Him into their
hearts as Lord and Savior. The invitation is given to all those who have been
written into God’s Book of Life.
We don't know from scripture
and there is some discussion from biblical scholars as to whether
the marriage supper is in heaven or on earth,
and whether the duration is one day, a thousand years, or throughout all
eternity. The important thing for us to remember is that we must be
prepared NOW. For the Lord could
come for those that have received Him into their hearts and for those that have
not, at any time… It could even happen today.
Today, He could allow you to slip into eternity. Today, He could decide to
return and take His whole church with Him. Can you
say that you have been written into the Book of Life? Can you say that with
certainty that if the Lord was to come back for you today, that you will be with
Him for eternity? You can take care of that now.
The Lord God not only wants to embrace
you, but He wants you to be a part of His family, the family of God. How can you
resist the Lord God any further? He is right now, inviting you to be a part of
that great event.
If you have not truly turned your heart
over to God nor have accepted His Son, Jesus into your life, then you need to
make a decision here and now. The scriptures tell us that ALL have sinned and
fall short of the glory of God and that because of sin, the wages of sin is
death, which means separation from God. Therefore, God so loved the world that
He gave His only Son to bridge that separation and to bring us to Him. Jesus
said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except
through Me." Jesus died for you; He took your place on the cross. He was buried
for you. He rose for you. He lives for you. He is coming for you. All you
have to do is to confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved. Jesus said,
"Here I am. I stand at the door and knock." Therefore we ask this question,
"Will you open the door and let Him in?"
Please pray.
"Dear God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, my heavenly Father, I confess
that I am a sinner and have been separated from You. I ask forgiveness of my
sins. I repent and accept this gift of repentance and I wish to be free in you.
I confess with my mouth that your son Jesus is my Savior and died for me. I
believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. I receive Jesus into my
heart and ask Him to become the center of my life. I ask, in the Name of Jesus.
Amen."
Jesus said, "He (or,
she) that confesses me before men, I will confess Him before my Father." All you
have to do is just let go and let God. The Lord is waiting for
you. There may never be another opportunity like there is today.
